NailTalk Privacy Policy

NailTalk is made by ONYX Tech LLC. There is no account and we don't ask for your name, email or location. We don't use advertising or tracking.

What is sent, and why

• Your practice text. When you practise, what you said or typed in that conversation (as text), the scenario and your chosen level are sent through our server to Anthropic (Claude), which writes the client's reply and your feedback.
• Lines to be read aloud. The client's lines and example sentences are sent through our server to OpenAI, which turns them into speech.
• Your voice. Apple's speech recognition turns your voice into text, on your iPhone when it supports this, otherwise on Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy. Your voice recording is never sent to us, Anthropic or OpenAI.

None of this is linked to your identity. Our server does not store your conversations; it passes them on and returns the answer. Anthropic and OpenAI process the text to answer the request under their API terms and do not use it to train their models. Please don't say private details (such as phone numbers or addresses) in a practice.

You are asked before your first practice, and you can turn AI coaching off at any time in Settings → Privacy.

On your device

Your progress, stars and saved phrases stay on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Children

NailTalk is a practice tool for working adults and isn't directed at children.
